Dan excels at making others feel welcome and having a sense of purpose and belonging in a team. He treats everyone around him equally, regardless of background, gender or race as equals and promotes diversity and inclusion in his teams and workplace. This approach has enabled Dan to both work in, and lead any team in any environment, from internal service teams of engineers in Atos, to a cross-organisation collaboration with consultants from PwC. Inclusivity comes naturally to Dan as he is able to make strong bonds and connect to those he works with. Dan is direct and authentic when he communicates and is open with his own emotions and expectations. Coupled with his determination and purpose in his work he has stood out as a role model for many new recruits coming into the Atos business. In particular, this style has led Dan to excel at supporting juniors in starting their career and remains a mentor for many former and current graduates, helping them navigate the Atos business and find their feet.
Dan’s demeanour, ability and prodigious work ethic means he is well liked and well respected within the business. People want to work with Dan again as he creates a fun, high-performing team environment where people feel included and respected.
Despite a huge workload that has required some weekends and evenings, Dan still produces outstanding quality and finds time to mentor his mentees through work and life difficulties, and whilst welcoming his first child into the world! Throughout this challenging period he has remained grounded and honest, allowing those around him to open up about their difficulties and creating a stable and open post Covid-19 environment.
