    I appreciate Thrivant’s mission that money is a tool not a goal and their commitment to service and faith. I like their emphasis on meaning in the work and for the organization and how they emphasize people having a relationship with clients. I love the survey focused on clarity with five clarity areas (strategic, cultural, functional, role and employee value proposition clarity). That is impactful and also unique compared with other companies. It’s great they do things like service projects to bring people together in terms of inclusion. This is an underappreciated strategy for belonging, rolling up sleeves together.

    One of the most notable highlights of this entry was Thrivent’s clarity around its purpose and how it integrates its focus on generosity throughout its culture. Hearing how Thrivent positively impacts its clients, employees, and communities through donations and service was truly heartwarming. Another strong positive of this entry relative to others was its focus on listening in the employee voice section, including talking about how it does that before mentioning its outward communications.
