We are best known for The Inspiring Workplaces Awards, the World’s #1 non-survey-based awards, recognizing PeopleFirst organizations. Established in 2015, we have seen thousands upon thousands of case studies that have shown us what great looks like when it comes to driving business success by putting your people first. It boils down to creating cultures people believe in and want to belong to.

But we’ve also seen significant effort and money being wasted on people-related initiatives.

After 10 years of seeing leaders frustrated by not seeing the performance gains they expect from their people initiatives and investment, we want to provide solutions to the problems we repeatedly witness that stop success in its tracks.

The three major problems that do the most harm are:

  • Decision Gridlock

  • Disconnected Workforce

  • Belief shortfall

1. Decision Gridlock

Leaders consistently tell us that they know they need to invest in their people, they are just not certain where to make that investment. Many tell us they’d rather do nothing than do something that isn’t well received and doesn’t deliver a decent ROI.

Key elements within this problem include:

Book a call

  • Decision inertia

  • Wasting time & money

  • Leadership ambivalence & cynicism

  • Manager fatigue

  • Lack of trust

  • Too many initiatives without real impact

Solution

Our solution cuts through all the problems above and gives you the clarity and information you need to prioritize where to act. It comes in the form of The PeopleFirst Diagnostic & PeopleFirst Matrix.

2. Disconnected workforce

Organisations have always had connection issues between people, between teams, and with the leadership, which made people question if they truly BELONG.

These were made worse by the pandemic and the move to hybrid operations.

This lack of Connectedness is causing serious problems that not only threaten organizational performance but the wellbeing of your people.

Key elements within this problem include:

Book a call

  • No sense of belonging

  • Talent retention

  • Lack of collaboration

  • Failure to embrace innovations and new processes

  • Underperformance

  • Hybrid work challenges

  • Impact on wellbeing

  • Working against the purpose of the business

Solution

Our solution to this is to prioritise how to belong with the world tested and loved Inspire:Lab – A transformational, psychologically safe 3 hour workshop that can be run with groups throughout your organisation.

3. Belief shortfall

Successful leaders consistently tell us that one of the foundations for business success is ALIGNMENT.

Our definition of alignment is ‘shared belief’.’ When people believe in the same goals and values, they work together to achieve them. But if they aren’t aligned the impact is destructive.

Key elements within this problem include:

Book a call

  • Bad customer experience

  • Misalignment

  • Lack of clarity, creating confusion

  • Toxic teams

  • Impact on wellbeing

  • Innovation ignored rather than embraced

  • Lack of market differentiation

Solution

Our solution to this is to prioritise what to believe. We uncover this with our PurposeLab that surfaces the shared belief in the leadership team and throughout the organization.
