For today’s talk from our 6-week-long Summer Series: 25 minute daily talks, we had a session with Jane Walapu, Colleague Recognition Programme Lead at Co-op.

From ‘long service’ to ‘career celebration’ – how Co-op transformed the way it celebrates career commitment

Working with colleagues Co-op created a new ‘Career Celebration’ scheme which acknowledges and celebrates Co-op colleagues throughout their career at Co-op – from their first year until retirement.

Jane spoke about:

  • Creating a consistent and fairer recognition experience for all colleagues
  • The impact on colleagues, particularly those earliest in their career
  • Challenges faced along the way
  • Top advice for companies who are reassessing how they celebrate career commitment
  • and more…
